ETC’s Net3™ One Port Gateway provides DMX data distribution using the quality and reliability of ETC’s network development. Built for the Net3 using and industry standard streaming ACN (sACN) protocol, as well as the proven ETCNet2™ and ETCNet protocols, the One Port Gateway is compatible with any ETC network system. The Net3 One Port Gateway uses bidirectional Ethernet communication with other network devices to send or receive DMX512 signals. Using the 5-pin connector on the front of the device, the Net3 One Port Gateway supports up to 512 channels.
What are ACN and Net3?
ACN - Architecture for Control Networks is a standard for high-speed bidirectional communication over TCP/IP on Ethernet network infrastructure. ACN is a suite of protocols used between network devices for the purposes of greater and more adaptive control in lighting applications.
Net3 - Net3 is one of ETC's standard ACN interoperability profiles (the ‘rules’ for how different devices will work together) providing additional communication between devices that is not yet specified or standardized.
