Par Cans

In the most simplistic terms a Par Can is a light for color washes. ÊWhat makes categorizing par cans difficult is that there are so many varieties that trying to make it all clear in a paragraph or two is not possible. ÊTo understand par cans you do really have to visit each subcategory below to read about the nuances of each type. ÊThe only real common thread between them is that they are designed to be a wash light and are generally cost effective if that is all you are looking for. ÊPlease take note that I am not including LED "PAR" Cans in this category. ÊThey have their own listing in the LED section. ÊThey are not par cans, never have been par cans and never will be par cans. ÊThey are completely a different fixture even though in the infancy of the LED theatrical explosion of products they were commonly referred to as par cans.
