Side Arms

The purpose of a theatrical stage lighting side arm is to be able to hang a lighting unit from a vertical pipe with the same ability to focus as if you were hanging it from a horizontal bar. Very popular on lighting booms and box booms. One of the things I enjoy the most about going into a theatre that is new to me is to see how the front of house positions are rigged and which side arms they are using. - Louie Lumen
